Invisible braces, also known as clear aligners, work by gradually shifting teeth into the ideal position, making your teeth straight. This is achieved through wearing a series of invisible braces, each for 2 weeks at a time, which moves the teeth up to 0.3mm per braces until the ideal alignment has been reached.

Process

Yes. Your teeth straightening treatment will be reviewed, designed, approved and monitored by our licensed partner dentists.

Most of the teeth-straightening took an average of 6 months to complete, but the dentists assigned to you will determine the optimal plan for you.

Most people experience some pain for a few days after wearing new invisible braces. This is perfectly normal. It is a sign that your invisible braces are working, gently moving your teeth into correct positions. This pain should gradually go away after a few days.

You’ll be assigned to a member of our customer care team from the beginning, referred to as a Smile Companion. If you have any concerns or need assistance, you may call or text your Smile Companion and they’ll assist you.

Yes, based on your teeth impressions or 3D image, our partner dentists create a custom treatment plan which shows a before and after 3D visualisation of how your teeth will move with become invisible braces. 

If you lose one of your braces, you must order a replacement right away. While waiting for your replacement to arrive, you will need to wear the previous braces to ensure that your teeth do not shift back to their original position. 

After teeth-straightening, you’ll need to wear your retainers regularly to maintain your new smile. You can also get your retainers from become!

 

It’s absolutely vital to wear your invisible braces for at least 22 hours per day. If you don’t, during follow-up our partner dentists will be able to tell that you haven’t been wearing them enough because your teeth won’t be on track. This may mean that you’ll have to wear your current set of invisible braces a little longer.

Covid-19 Safety

Yes, it is. All of our partners at becomeStudio™ perform regular cleaning and disinfection of equipment, disinfecting the surfaces, as well as increasing the ventilation and the frequency of our stringent cleaning policies. They will also check the temperature of all our customers before entering the clinic.

If you are not feeling well, especially if you develop flu-like symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, fever, headache), please reschedule your appointment by clicking the Change/Cancel button on your appointment confirmation email, or inform our customer representative.

If you are taking public transportation to your appointment, please avoid crowds and keep at least 1m from people who are not in your household. You are advised to come alone if possible, to avoid crowding in the waiting area.

When you reach the becomeStudio™ (our partnered dental clinic), please adhere to the public health SOP regarding COVID-19 (keep your mask on, check-in via TraceTogether app, scan your temperature and sanitise your hand).

1. Reduced crowding: We open limited slots in a day to reduce crowding in the waiting area at becomeStudio™.

2. Vaccination of staff: The healthcare staff (dentists and nurses) at becomeStudio™ have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

3. Facilities: All of our partners have put in place increased safety measures for disinfection & ventilation, on top of ensuring all comply with current government guidelines.

4. Screening: All customers are required to wear face masks, sanitise their hands, and get their body temperature checked. If a customer shows COVID-19 symptoms, they are not allowed to enter the premises.
